Laura de Altube is an Argentine Choreographer, Director & Dancemaker with more than 20 years of experience doing artistic and professional performances, site-specific works and experimental videos.
Laura is based in London. She is graduated from the MA in Choreography at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
Her work is deeply rooted in collaboration with artists from different fields. She is particularly interested in making works that combine diverse art forms and genre such as Dance film, Visual Art, Theatre, Performance Art, Contemporary dance and Argentine Tango. Through her work, she seeks to investigate different ways of dialogue between the audience and the performer.
Her Projects comprise screen-based installations and performances; live site-specific events and dance films that have been shown in Buenos Aires Argentina; London UK, and Festivals across Europe.
In my performances, I focus on improvisation, I do not tell the dancers how to dance, I invite the dancers to explore the possibilities between the Tango Structure and encourage them to dance their own Tango journey !!
