New Dance Training & Tango Technique Edition: Master the Art of Argentine Tango
This specialised course is for solo dancers & couples. It is an in-depth dance and tango technique training for both roles.
You will learn new Skills and Techniques to make your dance spark!
Goal:
This intense training approach taught in a small setting will make your sequences and figures seamlessly dynamic and functional.
You will learn to dance with ease and grace combining elegance with powerful dance skills.
Who can attend:
Leaders and followers: (from Beginners to Intermediates).
What is about:
Tango Gym = a place where you can excercise/ practice the tango moves individually, put your entire body on training ( mind/body connection), ask questions, break down the moves and analyse them for a better understanding.
Practice those moves by areas of the body until you get awareness and better mobility; use small equipment to understand the starting point of a move, etc.

1.5 hours of training.

Tango exercises that develop your strength, co-ordination, and ease of movement.

45 minutes focusing on individual Tango technique followed by 40 minutes application of the new skills and tools in couples.

We will progress from basic moves of a theme or figure to more complex movements and dynamics.
This training offers the next best thing to a private session. The structure of the class and the equipment used, mirror a private session but you share the instructor with a group.

Leaders' Technique
This first part of the training focuses on building healthy tango posture and alignment while dancing and the exploration of dance techniques that will support and develop clarity, a strong foundation and the finest Tango structure for your dance.
Couples from 4:55 to 5:30 pm

Work in couples.
This second part of the training focuses on building a strong connection and communication between the couple, creating a dynamic, creative and functional dance.
Theme of the month: April 2025

Dynamic alignment, walk, decoration/timing.

The eights (different timing for back and forward ochos).

Turns to the right/turn to the left. Exploring the different ways of turning.

This course runs once a month.

Early bird: £17 pp.
Paid on the day £20 pp.

No previous experience or partner is needed.
Please bring comfortable clothes and shoes. Or any dance trainers.
If you come by train: Raynes Park's Train Station is a mere 8-minute walk away.
By bus: Buses from Wimbledon are 131, 57, 200.
By car: Limited parking is available in marked pay and display bays on nearby roads such as Richmond Road and Durham Road/ Spencer Road and Durham Road.
